  1. Estabrook Elementary School named a Michigan Exemplary Blue Ribbon School
  2. Richai Burgens, class of 2007, one of a thousand students nationwide to receive the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship, that will cover  her college expenses from undergraduate through her doctoral studies
  3. Partnership with the University of Michigan College of Engineering
  4. Early College Alliance, implemented through Eastern Michigan University
  5. Gear-Up, a collaboration with EMU targeting the class of 2012
  6. College is My Future, a collaboration with Washtenaw Community College

  15. The YHS Wind Symphony Band will tour Europe in 2008
  16. YPS oversees the Regional Career Technical Center, a consortium with several neighboring school districts. The program offers courses in building trades, graphic arts, auto mechanics, collision repair, computers, child care, culinary arts and allied health.
