- Richai Burgens, class of 2007, one of a thousand students nationwide to receive the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship, that will cover her college expenses from undergraduate through her doctoral studies

- YPS oversees the Regional Career Technical Center, a consortium with several neighboring school districts. The program offers courses in building trades, graphic arts, auto mechanics, collision repair, computers, child care, culinary arts and allied health.
