Message from the Superintendent
It is with great pride that I welcome you to our re-designed Web site. Our hope is that you will easily find the information that will help you gain a better understanding of Ypsilanti Public Schools.
YPS has been educating children for over 150 years and we are continually examining our methods of teaching to ensure that we are preparing our students for a changing, global economy. There are a number of exciting opportunities available to our students that include partnerships with the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College, details that can be obtained by viewing our Partnership link. The introduction of Professional Learning Communities in all of our buildings has given our teaching staff an instant pool of resources and support to hone their skills and to stay apprised of innovative tools and techniques in their field.
