2011 Inductees

Hall of Fame inductions

Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, was the date when the YHS Athletic Hall of Fame honored 10 inductees.  Those honored this year were: William Bailey (class of 1979) All American football starter at the University of Iowa; Kendra Clark (class of 2000) MAC tennis champion; Johnny Epps (class of 1992) professional basketball player; Carolyn King (class of 1979) broke the gender barrier in Little League baseball and is featured in the documentary The Girl in Centerfield; Frederick Lett (class of 1959) state high school wrestling champion and U.S. National Olympic Trial Wrestling champion; Ken Mirer (class of 1960) collegiate baseball starter and coach inducted into two Indiana Hall of Fames; Daniel Roberts (class of 1981) state high school golf champion; Scott Robinson II (class of 2000) four-year football letter winner at Western Michigan University; Fred Trosko Jr. (class of 1972) played on the NCAA Championship Notre Dame Football team; Jon “Pat” Zureich (class of 1977) MAC baseball championship team and drafted by the Detroit Tigers.
