"Michigan School Board Appreciation Month."
The Ypsilanti Education Association presented the Ypsilanti Public Schools Board of Education with books that the union purchased in honor of the board. Copies of the books will be placed in all school media centers and the gift was made in recognition of Board Appreciation Month. The Ypsilanti Public Schools Board of Education was recognized in January during "Michigan School Board Appreciation Month." Each trustee was given a coffee mug with a photo of the board members installed on the side. The mug was filled with YPS memorabilia including a pen, pencil, magnet and candy. The board room also boasted a banner proclaiming the district's appreciation for their service.
