Ypsilanti Community Schools Colors Set

The board approved Black and Vegas Gold as the new colors, which was the clear top choice based on forum feedback and the survey.

State awards WISD $6.5 million MDE Grant The Ypsilanti Public Schools and Willow Run Community Schools consolidation was awarded $6.5 million. At last night's board meeting, YPS communicated its deep appreciation to WISD for facilitating the grant process. State Representative David Rutledge attended a press conference announcing the $6.5 million grant awarded to WISD to support the WRCS-YPS consolidation. Joining him at the press conference were: WISD Supt. Scott Menzel, Unified District Board Pres. David Bates, V-P Don Garrett, WRCS Supt. Laura Lisiscki and YPS Supt. Dedrick Martin.
