Gently used winter clothing from infant to adult - Wednesdays 1 - 4:30pm
Forest School (former George Elementary)

Park in the main parking lot behind the school and enter through the door that says "Wolgast Construction"

Open to any student and family that receive Free or Reduced lunches in any of the Ypsilanti Public Schools or a referral from the school your child attends.

Clothing Donations Needed
Need gently used winter clothing - anything from coats, boots, sweaters, warm socks - for infant to adult, male and female. Donations will go to the Clothes Closet that helps our Ypsilanti Public School families who are in need of warm clothing. If you have a donation, you can label the bag/box (Clothes Closet) and bring to your child's school or drop off at any YPS building. You may also make donations at Forest School, 1076 Ecorse, during school hours. If you have any questions, please call CJ Falsetta, school nurse, 714-1019.

Clothes Closet award recognition. The YPS Clothes Closet will be presented with a sign at the Monday, Nov. 23 Board of Education meeting, designating the program as a Michigan Education Excellence Award winner. The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. in room 138 located in the lower level of Ypsilanti High School, 2095 Packard Rd. Details: (734) 714-1202.

YPS Clothes Closet Receives 2009 Education Excellence Sign
Gwenn McAuliffe, an account executive for the insurance company, SET/SEG, presented an Education Excellence sign to Ypsilanti Public Schools during the Monday, Nov. 23 Board of Education meeting. The sign was part of the recognition YPS received for the Clothes Closet, a clothing distribution effort that was recognized for providing an outstanding program for low income students.
