Erickson is an excellent school filled with dedicated, caring staff and bright children ready to learn. The staff at Erickson work well with each other and with parents. Such cooperation lends itself to creating a supportive environment that encourages learning. This translates to the peaceful, friendly atmosphere noticeable when you walk into the building. The programs that music teacher Ms. Harding creates are unmatched! The after-school clubs provide additional educational opportunities that are interesting and fun. And no one can resist the excitement and team spirit of Field Day, a day worth taking off from work to attend as a volunteer! This neighborhood school continues to provide a well-rounded education for my children and I could not ask for a better elementary school! |

This neighborhood school is located in Ypsilanti Township and continues to gain attention for strides in academics and ambitious performing arts productions. The school was singled out for
a visit by Dan Mulhern, the First Gentleman of Michigan, because of the school's successful literacy progress. The staff works cohesively to raise student achievement by building positive relationships with students and families and reinforcing the "Erickson Excellence" philosophy.
