My son is a student at West Middle School and his experience, as well as mine, has been wonderful. West Middle School is filled with remarkable and caring teachers and staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to provide a great learning and safe environment for our children, all under the amazing leadership of Mrs. Monica Merritt. West Middle School is a real Ypsilanti jewel.

"When I was in West Middle with a group of my fellow University of Michigan classmates, we were incredibly impressed by the behavior of the sixth grade students. We were amazed at the groups involvement in the classroom activity with very little noise and no horsing around. Even when the group was standing in the hallway, waiting to enter the class, they did so quietly. I just wanted to let you know how the West students were viewed by a group of student teachers and a field instructor."
