Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship Information The Scholarship Committee of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Ann Arbor Alumnae Chapter is requesting your assistance in helping us identify students at your school who qualify for our annual scholarship awards. We are seeking African-American female students who meet the following requirements: •African-American Female Senior •G.P.A. 2.75 or higher •Exhibits leadership abilities •Engages in community service •Participates in extra-curricular activities •Three letters of recommendation •Present a 250 typed word essay on “Something More You Should Know About Me” Please make as many copies you deem necessary. Energy Education for Michigan, Inc. – Tony Howard Scholarship 2013-2014 APPLICATION The scholarship with a minimum of $500 will be paid to the postsecondary institution where the applicant is enrolled and mailed to the applicant at the address provided. The scholarship may be renewable on an annual basis. It is the responsibility of the initial award recipient to submit the Annual Renewal Application each year (up to 3 years or until a Bachelor’s Degree is earned, whichever occurs first). Applications for renewal will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Renewal is not guaranteed.	July 15, 2013
Scholarship Offered to Ypsilanti High School Senior Girls The Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is offering a $1,000 scholarship to college-bound Ypsilanti High School senior girls. The recipient will use this scholarship for tuition, room and board, and other expenses necessary for attending an accredited institution of higher learning. Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary society of professional women educators, promotes excellence in education for all women. Applicants should have the following: A minimum 2.8 GPA Strong involvement in extracurricular activities Acceptance to an accredited college or university Applications must be submitted online to Scholarship Chair Lisa Lava-Kellar, llavake2@ypsd.org.
