Explaining the Academy:

The Global Leadership and Public Policy Academy is an academy in YHS that promotes leadership through academic rigor, fosters an entrepreneurial spirit, instills a sense of civil responsibility, and provides students with engaging opportunities to explore career interests. The goal of the academy is to create learning experiences that prepare our graduates to feel empowered to lead and serve in the rapidly changing local, national and global community.

This academy is characterized by:

   -  Active learning
   -  Partnerships involving civic leaders, universities and local businesses

   -  Students using cutting edge technology such as Smart Boards and iMacs.
